A nemonic for trigonometry

Prof Parker went over some more percent conversions today (after bringing in a load of donuts and coffee). Fractions to decimal to percent. Easy stuff.

trigonometry = the study of triangles

We also covered basic trigonometry. The nemonic for the above is:
"Some Orphans Have Curly Auburn Hair Till Old Age"

Where S= sin, T= tangent, C= cosine, O= opposite, A= adjacent, H= hypotenuse

Parker had his own nemonic, but I prefer mine. With his, you have to write it out on paper to make it make sense. With mine, to remember TANGENT, just recall "till old age" to know that Tan = opposite over adjacent.
This I learnt in 1973, and it sticks with me.

Fortich continued his lecture on resistors, inductors and capacitors - the three things on which all electronic components are based.

The once a week breakfast plan!
Here's my idea:

Every Monday morning at 8am, we meet up for breakfast and shoot the breeze about Electronics.

When you turn left and go a block to Westborough Blvd (just past the Library), you'll see a BLOCKBUSTERS across the street. In that small shopping center is a breakfast place. It is called Gunters Restaurant. I'll be there at 8am Monday, hope to see one or more people there!
