Nice post Sparky! I hope to see more postings by others coming soon!!
Today was our first day of having back to back electronic lectures, and both had to do with circuitry!
First, Prof Parker explained Series vs Parallel circuits. The disadvantage of a series circuit could be best explained with xmas lights strung together in series - when one goes out, they all go out. But what is the advantage? Good question. I could not think of one. Well, I did - I said it is cheaper/easier to build than parallel, but Parker said that might be an advantage to the builder, but not to the consumer. The real advantage is
the ability to have multiple voltages from a single source! He gave us the theory, and then he demo'ed a circuit to prove it.
In the afternoon, Prof Fortich broke us up into groups to work on calculating the V, I and R in a circuit that had a combination of series and parallel resistors.
